OEM Registration & Vendor Registration

OEM or vendor — know which registration path applies to you.

OEM authorization and general vendor/seller registration serve different purposes on GeM. We help you identify the right one — or both — for how your business actually operates.

01|OVERVIEW

What is OEM Registration & Vendor Registration?

"Vendor registration" is the standard seller-onboarding process every business goes through to sell on GeM — creating a seller account, completing identity, bank and business verification, and gaining category authorisation to list.

"OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) registration/authorisation" is a separate, additional step relevant to brand owners: it establishes that you are the manufacturer or authorised brand owner of a product, which is what allows resellers to list and sell your branded product on GeM with your authorisation.

Many businesses only need standard vendor registration. Manufacturers whose products are also sold by resellers, or resellers who want to list a brand that isn't their own, typically need to understand the OEM authorisation layer as well. Gurur Consultancy helps you work out which path — or combination — applies to your business.
